The most fun and effective way to learn how to type
|
Typing Pal has been given a facelift for you!
A new version of Typing Pal Online is now available on line, alongside the old version.
Your establishment's account administrator can choose which of these versions you will use. They can make this choice using their administration module. They can record their choice in the section entitled "Select the version of Typing Pal". The new version is more stable and secure technologically, and also offers new options.
However, for another few months, the default configuration will be the old version, allowing administrators to decide when to start using the new version. Both versions share the same database. Consequently, the statistics accrued with one version are also visible in the other. This means that if you experience problems with the new version, it is possible to go back to the original version without loss of data.
Different work environments adapted to K-12
In addition to more advanced technology, the main advantage of the new version is that it offers work environments suited to specific groups of customers. Three environments are currently available:
- the environment for 7 to 10 year olds, which is suited to elementary pupils, - new! the High school environment (also called "the Office"), - the classic environment (or Middle school environment), which suits all users.
Each environment is based on the same structure. Just the graphic appearance and content are different. You can get a general idea by visiting this web page.
Teachers can choose the work environment for their group.
If the account administrator chooses the new version of Typing Pal Online, teachers can choose the work environment for each of their groups. To do this, each teacher must access their management module, then click on the "Modify a group's parameters" button.
We hope that you will make full use of these new features! Announcements concerning forthcoming changes will be displayed on the site over the next few months.
